Several factors influence the design and manufacture of these machines. Choosing a design that does not damage the product during handling is critical, and so too is the stability of the machine in relation to the expected loads. Consideration must also be given to the machine’s working environment. Narrow spaces, for example, which could lead to moving the Reel vertically rather than laying down.

A Reel of delicate material cannot be handled on its sides because it may deform or crush. Instead, it may have to be handled by means of a boom. A single-purpose tool that will allow the load to be moved through the central hole.
Reel Handling Machines equipped with grippers or spikes to handle loads from the ground, from a pallet or from machinery while also allowing it to rotate from a horizontal to a vertical position are all optional features.
